An Evening at Sea World

We went to Sea World late yesterday afternoon, we went right away to see the Sea lion and otter show after getting the handicap pass. We took Brooklynn up to the very small handicap section for wheel chairs to sit and watch the show. When we got up there the handicap section was filled up with adults in power chairs and people who could walk with their rental power scooters. We decided to leave the stroller parked on the side and go and sit in the bleachers. As we waited for the show to start the people who were in their scooters decided they were going to park in the wheel chair spots and leave their scooter to watch the show in the bleachers. As these "handicap" poeple were sitting in the bleachers more people were coming up in wheel chairs with children. These poor people who were actually handicap were unable to watch the show because of the so called "handicap" people who hogged up the spots in the wheelchair section. I just can't believe some people what they would do just for better seating. Which in fact it's really not better seatting. Stupid idiots! I was so annoyed after that. Then to put the icing on the cake the restrooms are NOT handicap friendly at all!!!!!!! UGH! I thought was going to be a nice evening but seeing those "handicap" idiots when we first got there just ruined the rest of my evening.

Brooklynn's Sleep Study

I have to say that our daughter truely is a champ, Brooklynn had her sleep study at All Childrens Hospital on August 9th. We arrived there at 7:45pm and by the time we got up to the room and all the wires hooked up to her it was 10:00pm she didn't cry untill the tech had only 3 wires to attach to her head and face. The tech told us that the on the Dr's orders he commented Brooklynn was totally adorable! We would have to agree with that!!! During the day we were instucted to keep Brooklynn from napping for more then an hour so she would fall asleep faster for this sleep study. During the hook up process we were thankfull to have the IPOD with her favorite videos for her to watch. That kept her occupied and awake while the tech got her all hooked up. By the time 10:00 came around she was so exausted daddy and Gidget had to leave and go home. I held her little hand for the first 10 minutes after she layed down, I could have held her hand all night. During the night she woke up twice and called out for me. The first time I went over and held her hand, the tech came in and told me he had to count that as her being awake when I touch her Sad smile

. I just wanted to hold her little hand and let her know I was there for her. It was so hard for me not hold her hand. The last time she woke up she called for me and wanted me to turn her over. I couldn't turn her to much because all the wires were all bundled up in the back of her head so she only could lay on one side. I was able to get her onto her back she only layed there for about 10 minutes then she wanted me to turn her back to her side. After that 5:45am came really fast thats when we were all done with the sleep study. When Brooklynn woke up she cried out for her daddy, "where is my daddy, I want my daddy" she said. Finally Daddy and Gidget got there and she was a happy camper it was just like we never had the sleep study. LOL! I'm just so proud of her she did a great job. Now we have to wait for the test results. But I just have a feeling that we will have good results.

I Wanna Dance

Every night before bedtime Brooklynn and I sit in the rocking chair in her room and read books, take her medacine and just wind down from her long busy day. Well tonight she was laying across my lap and she said to me she wanted to go in her crib and lay down. So I picked her up and was loving on her like I always do before I get ready to put her in the crib. Just above the rocking chair on her wall is a picture of her in a tutu and hanging below the picture is the tutu and my ballet shoes. Brooklynn looks up on the wall and says to me "look mommy flower" I said to her no baby it's your tutu. She said to me "tutu, I wanna dance" as she was shaking her hips "I wanna dance with a little boy". I told her I wanted her to dance too. That just breaks my heart because the whole time I was pregnant I had hopes and dreams of her dancing. Actually I called her my little dancing queen right from the time I felt her moving in my belly. This dam SMA robs us parents the hopes and dreams that we have for our babies. But I do believe that one day Brooklynn will dance, dance with her Daddy!!!

LOUDER

Everytime that Brooklynn wakes up from her nap lately she yells out in her room repeatedly "Open door Mommy, LOUDER, Open door Mommy!" She only says it one time in the video and you have to really listen to her say louder. She's such a ham and so stinkin cute!!! Brooklynn spinning on the sit n spin

Jayson, Brooklynn and I went to North Carolina to visit with friends for a week in April and during our trip Brooklynn discovered that she likes to ride on the sit and spin. It was a lot of fun watching her spin HERSELF around on the sit and spin. I wasn't too sure if she was going to be able to handle it her self but she did a great job. Enjoy the video!!
